You know a dark red might be nice. Try laying it out on different colors and see if one of them lead you to the perfect one for you.

Here is an idea. Use those blocks as a center panel, then add other patterns around it. The blocks around the center panel don't all have to be the same, just complementary colors.

And I thought I’d be reading something about Ugg boots and Valentines. Just shows how goofy a mind can get. Keep working at it. You’ve had some good suggestions. Love pink with lime green and also with yellow, but it has to be the right shade of yellow.

I agree...the sashing didn't look right to me ...didn't know why. I just thought the pattern was just too much. I like the idea of a broken heart look.
