Default G Street Fabric - anyone buy from them

Hello... I had my eye on some fabric at MSQC and I was ready to buy today. And of course its out of stock now

I see that a place called G Street Fabric has this same fabric in stock. Has anyone purchased from them before? They are having a Presidents Day Sale and the price it good, but I have no experience with them

    Has anyone here?

G Street Fabric is an old Washington, DC landmark. I've shopped with them in person, but I didn't know they were going online. Their Rockville location is their only store now. It is huge, but I have no idea of their online service.

I agree with Mary, I didn't realize they were online but I've shopped there several times in person. It's a wonderland in there. LOL

Thirty five years ago, I went to G street. It had the most beautiful fabrics in the world, to me. Fabric I had never seen. Glittery show fabrics, Super thin men's wool suiting, bridal satins and silks. I bought pink and Ivory wool fabric for a suit at over $100.00 per yard. Such a splurge in the early 80's. You know I still have that suit. It is just as beautiful today as the day I bought it. Such fond memories. Anything from G street is a treasure.

Didn't know they are still in business - used to shop there whenever I had to go to DC for work. Will check them out!

Boy, you really stirred up memories! That shows in the previous comments. We lived in the Wash. D. C. area for fifteen years in the '80's and 90's. G-Street was my place to shop for fabrics. As said above, they had the most beautiful fabrics for every purpose. They catered to quilters also. I remember quilt displays in their store frequently. Of course, they had to go on-line. Have no fear.
