Everyone is busy getting things done.
I had a productive day, too. Planted cherry tomatoes in my covered raised bed. Water the beds in the back yard. Freeze is forcast for this week.
Got priming on painting panels.
Finished a commission quilt. Quilt and Bind.
Cut more strips for 2 rail fence charity quilts.

I just came to my senses and realize that you really don't have to finish everything that you set to do on these VQW. There are no control police here. So, if my system will allow me I would like to share a few things that I tried to accomplish. This is a charity quilt that has been laying around for almost two years. First, my cousin finished it in 2016 and then I had it all 2017 going to domestic quilt it. The pix on the bottom has the same story. Now, if I could just the hang of this downloading. I will be back a little later in the day I really want to get some sewing done. See you quilters later.

Working away at the Mystery Train Ride quilt, mostly.
Did a little work on the ends of my NY Beauty wall hanging. I've been so stuck on that one, I have't done anything on it in awhile, so I was glad to figure out what quilting I wanted to do with the end borders. I still have to fill it all in and there are going to be triangles on either side, (they won't be tilted when I quilt them, I quilt better than I draw), but at least it's progress.

I finished the flimsy for this jack's chain quilt today. Very happy to be done with all the Y-seams!

After attaching that enormous diagonal on Easy Street I was distracted by all the bits and pieces on my cutting board. No more sewing was done but I tidied the scraps into their appropriate boxes and labeled them. I'm happy with my VQW and look forward to next month.

Cherrybsixty- those are looking good. I really like the transparency effect you're getting with that top one!

Watson- I love the rich, luscious colors in the quilting AND the piecing on your New York Beauty--really looking forward to seeing what you do next with it.

Rebecca- what Watson said! Wow!

Ran out of background fabric for applique pieces. Have 27 cool dude (penguins), a dozen or more party fish and at least thirty hens ready for backgrounds. So made a run to my favorite shop with $8.99 yd for Hoffman batiks. Twisted my arm and returned home with six bolts, a couple eight yd pieces and six four yd pieces. I love tax return time! I may blog about this as I see if I can stop part time work and go for my dream studio work instead.

I just want to say thank you to everyone for sharing on these VQW’s. I get such inspiration from all of you.

I was able to finish 3.5 of my goals for the long weekend. I got my block made for the Accuquilt group; finished last week’s clue from Judy’s Mystery Quilt Train Ride (didn’t do this week’s finishing clue); finished the baby quilt top and my BH Leader/ender Challenge quilt top.

On Monday I finished the top of a charity quilt. Also cut out another and pulled fabric for several more: this is my de-stash attempt.
