It was a fun process to figure out how to make it "move". I see it as twirling around the block.

I was watching some of the angleplay videos, looks interesting. I wasn't thrilled w/ all the oversize / waste. I was thinking w/ all the effort into cutting template shapes, and their talk of the precise angle edges to make seam aligning easy they would have been a little more precise w/ making them "right" the first time w/o having to cut down to size after making the unit. But w/ that said have to say the finish is great!

God help us all I am sitting here in 18 inches of SNOW!!!! This has been the worse, as far as snow, in a long time. This was the 3rd large snowfall in a matter of 2 weeks UGH! Has anyone gotten this much snow this year? It all just seemed to come up the East coast and right to Rhode Island and Massachusettes. At least I did not lose power as some of my friends as still out from the last storm.

Bluelady, love the block! Thank you so much.
I did a bunch of blocks last year for the Boom with the angle play templates. I when they first came out Joanlizbay and I bought them right away. This year, I left them in Wyoming. The rulers are so easy to use and come out perfect. Kass not sure what you mean by wasted fabric and cutting down because they are very precise....hardly any waste at all.

From what I've seen on the 'how-to' videos, the little bit of waste comes in when you are cutting out multiples at a time. If you are trying to conserve fabric, as with the F8ths, I think you can just cut them one by one and have no waste.

Bootsy, stay safe and warm. I'm sure you are really sick of snow, by now. I grew up in Mass. and remember some wicked winters ('wicked' not meant in the good sense!) I was always sick to death of snow months before it left us. The summers were beautiful, but I could never live in that kind of snow zone again. Too spoiled by warmer weather.

Jaba, I think I saw your Boom blocks last year with the angle play rulers! I just loved them! I kept saving pictures of blocks from the Boom because I liked them so much. I didn't realize at the time they were 'angle play' and I called them block play. I don't use Pinterest, I just save things I like on my hard drive. Today I looked in my folder to see if there was text on them (like how we labeled the blocks this year), because I wondered if you made them or if someone else did-- but there is not any text on the pictures I saved.
2 and 5 are the same pattern, and 4 and 7 are the same pattern-- I just saved them because they were soooo cute. Probably there were others that I missed...
