Mexican Star Pattern
#11
hmmm, i think of one with folded triangles made from squares. I may have a pattern sent to me from a friend in England. will look for it. is that the one you mean? like this http://quiltingdigest.com/mexican-star-quilt/
ok, i looked and have templates for Mexican Cross. the free one listed above actually. not the one with curves made by folded squares. if you would like this, i can mail it, no problem.

The pattern designer has a book: https://www.amazon.com/Peeled-Back-P.../dp/1574328581
I don't think this pattern is in it, but it will let you see the technique, and it has some really beautiful quilt patterns. Perhaps you can borrow it from your library?

Looks like Hamel's here in BC has the large version, maybe contact them? http://store.hamelsfabrics.com/store...360&page_id=17

Thank you all for your help and suggestions. I emailed Southwinds Quilts and while the pattern is not available as a download, the shipping charge to Canada is only $3.00. That is certainly much more reasonable than the first website I checked and so I ordered it from Southwinds. Annette responded to my email within minutes and gave me the shipping cost. Great service.

Yea!!! glad you got it. I'm about to mail my friend in England a small box and wonder how much that is going to cost me. Still, I'll do it no matter what it is. post pic when you make your quilt!!!
