I love those little chickens. I made one for my DD and stuffed I with stuffing and dried lentils. Her dog ripped it apart to get at the lentils. That dog would eat anything.

I made them as Mother's Day Gifts for my Daughter and Daughter-in-law. I stuffed mine with walnut shells. I bought a nice size bag for $10 at a Quilt Show recently.

I always use steel wool for pin cushions. Was told it sharpens the needles.
