Default Mini quilts? Not me, such a waste of time!

I always said I would never make a mini quilt. What is the point of spending time and energy to make something that basically has no real use? Boy, was I wrong. I dug into my scrap box this weekend and put together a mini quilt! Yes, I really surprised myself So, my thoughts on my mini quilt experience? It was such fun to make, which is surely what quilting is all about; I got the satisfaction of finishing the flimsy in a day (with house chores thrown in); it helped me find my quilting mojo which has been missing for some time now; and the bonus at the end of it is that I now have something bright and beautiful to decorate the bare walls on my new sewing room! There's no doubt, I will definitely be making many more mini quilts!

I love it! I felt similar to you but made my first mini quilt about a week ago. It is Easter themed with bunnies on it. I think I would like to make several seasonal ones to fill the space year round.

Whenever I hear myself saying "I will never ..." I think that's exactly what I'll probably end up doing ... LOL
Your block is beautiful. So nice to get your mojo back.

I love making mini quilts. I think it has helped me really improve my piecing and they are easily quilted. I don't own a LA so I have to pay to get my quilts done. Making minis is a cost savings. Lol
