Okay. I used graph paper figuring a 2.5" cut center and 2" cut strips.

This means the center finishes at 2" and each log finishes at 1.5"

With the center square and 3 rounds of logs, I get a finished block size of 11".

If you did the same with a 2" cut center square, you would get a finished block size of 10.5".

Here's a PDF of a log cabin with a 2" finished center and 1 1/2" finished logs, just as Prism says. I thought it might help to have a visual.

I have seen log cabin quilts that use different width logs, so you could do a little math and figure it out depending on the number of rounds.

sarose48, just to be clear, Linda's PDF is for an 11" finished log cabin block. This is the one that uses 2" strips but has a center square that is cut 2.5" as you requested.

Hi Rosalie - It was no trouble at all! I've sized it down to ten inches and attached it here. Let me know if you want it any other size - it takes about 15 seconds in ElectricQuilt.

Thank you so much for the log sizes. It appears a quilt software is very handy. I normally do not make log cabin blocks but I saw a table runner done in log cabin blocks with a collection from Moda called Blushing Peonies. It is gorgeous. Can't wait to start making it. I have all the fabrics and all I needed was the cutting measurements. You have been a tremendous help. I am deeply grateful for all your time and help with this.
