I wind most of my own bobbins. If I'm having tension issues, it is usually related to my bobbin. I don't fight it anymore. I just put the offending bobbin in a coffee cup, thread it the usual way and wind a new bobbin. The Tiara is a simple mechanical machine and i've found almost all the errors are operator error. Much as I hate to admit that!

Hi - Squishy bobbins happened to me, too. HQ rep said i did not have it threaded correctly. If it goes around a little disc, make sure you hear a pop. You can rewind your squishy bobbins i just put them behind the machine and they bounce around as they are being wound on another bobbin. Squishy bobbins can mess up your tension. Hope this helps.

I too have issues with bobbin winder. Mine came with my 18”Innova. Love my machine which is probably 10 years old or more, but have always had a problem with bobbin winder. Probably user error. I do see that they have a different one now. May have to invest in it!!
