I really like how you have matched the strips at the diagonal. Just set them aside until you have scraps to make more blocks to add to these and make a larger quilt. Hope to see it when it is larger :-)

Love your blocks--I too would keep making blocks until I had them to a size I wanted it is a good way to use up those scraps.

WOW! No one would guess you're a newbie. The way all your seams match is magical!

You did a lovely job. You can do what others suggested, or you could also bind and use as a decorative piece on a table.

Looks great! Are you going to bind it for a table topper? or add borders for a quilt?

I would put the batting and back together, quilt it, and do another and another just the same and QAYG, join with sashing.

I think they are just perfect. AND you paid good money for these leftovers. I'm almost a totally scrap quilter. I made string blocks all the time. I usually grab a bin of one color and just sew until I'm sick of looking at them. Then Change Colors... LOL Check out Bonnie Hunter on both facebook and her blog. quiltville.blogspot.com She has a ton of free quilt patterns for scraps/strings etc. I love her work.

You mentioned limited resources, something to consider is when you are cleaning out clothing or other cloth items to be donated or trashed..... look at the items as potential stash items. Cotton shirts are great to cut strips/blocks, buttons to embellish on a quilt. You can gather great pieces to start your stash.
