    Default Folded Hexie flowers

Folded flowers made from hexies...cute! Saw a site on Pinterest, which directed to another site for directions....not such good instructions, so I cruised around, but not much really in depth instructions. I would maybe like to try a few, but rather than frustrate myself with a hit and miss hour or so, I thought maybe some here have a good site to go to for good instructions.......

I googled "fabric origami hexagon flowers". There were several hits including you tube videos. Without a photo it's hard to know exactly what finished product you are aiming for.

Phew! Well I made one following the tute from here. It is a bit "fiddly" at first, but each diamond gets easier. A few thoughts and I was doing this. Spray starch or size fabric, work with small craft iron to keep sharp edges, altho, maybe with sizing that would not be necessary. Either a stiffening or thin batt or felt cut the size finished Hexie and put inside as project begins to give more body....and keep shape. But all in all, it is cute, and I MAY make a few for holiday, perhaps to decorate gift box, attaching a twine or gold thread for tree hanging afterwards...just thinking.....btw I used f&p Hexie ruler...largest one to begin with, ended up finished at 2" side, so not being near template I used to cut out Hexie, I presume it had 4" side as somewhere I read finished half of cut one....
