Both are beautiful, but I prefer the left. The colors are defined on the left, whereas the right seems to blend together.

Thank you all for your replies. I've decided to make both versions alternating their construction until I run out of fabric. I'll probably have enough to make a table runner and a few cushion covers or a small lap quilt.
