Morning girls! I will play along with you girls for the weekend. I wish I was there to can tomatoes with you though. I love canning and being in the kitchen with friends. So fun and the food and chatter are uplifting. There is nothing like a day in the kitchen with the girls.

I have to cut sashing and sew the wiener dog top together. But, I got excited about a new pattern I bought on line from Canada called," Feathers". It is an all over pattern of scrappy flying birds. I am using my stash of small florals and a white fabric I am hoping is enough to finish with. I am cutting the blocks out now.

Thank you, sewbizgirl How are you going with your just-waiting-to-be-quilted quilts? I love the bright modern fabrics and the quilting in the first one you posted, so I hope you get around to at least one more this weekend

Okay, I had a really bad night so I didn't go into work today. I plan to start working on my projects this afternoon. I'm doing laundry and making chicken broth now. I'll have to go get more containers for the broth and head to the store before it's gets crazy but I should have a couple hours to sew this afternoon.

Midwife, if you could only see what it looks like around my ironing board. You'd die

Wow! looks like y'all are progressing beautifully well. I hand sewed only 1 baby quilt so far today.... 9 more to go. But, remember, I'm recovering from a horrible experience! Alas! Poor me!!

I have a cat so that's why my floor is thread free. I don't want her to swallow any.

But at least you haven't done any dishes, right?

(I think one hand-bound baby quilt would let me justify taking the rest of the day off to recover with Netflix and ice cream!)

That penguin is adorable! I am making progress on my Christmas wall hanging. One block is done and have started the second. There will be three when it is finished. I love VQW. Thanks so much for having them.
