Default 1/2" difference.....

A bit of trivia.....the other day one of my bathrooms needed a sully of tp......so I got a few rolls from stash. These were the "new" mega rolls.. On the dispenser was the remnants of a "regular" roll. When I was replacing, I looked at the actual tissue, and thought, hmm....one looks a bit narrower than the other...so I did a comparison. Sure enough! The regular roll's paper width is almost 1/2" wider than the new "mega" roll. Don't remember which brands I was comparing, if that makes a difference, don't know, but it was an interesting moment.........so here again we have a bit less of product.

I became aware of this about a year ago. All brands have gone smaller
Also some newspapers.

I'm convinced that the "mega" means mega profits not size for the company!

I still remember the old Sears catalogue in the out house and it wasn’t for reading.

Wasn't the Sears Catalogue printed on coated paper? Ouch!! That must have hurt!! Non-absorbent, too. Yikes!

When I had my first experience with an outhouse nobody told me NOT to use the shiny pages with pictures. Nobody told me to wrinkle up the page first. It's a wonder I didn't break my arm when it slid up to my waist in the back or have blood loss from the paper cuts.

I prefer my TP soft and fluffy, that Scott brand is like what they use at rest stops.
