This is the kind of quilt I love best. It's simple but pleasing to the eye, and it makes you want to crawl under it and take a nap! Well done!

That does look cozy. Feels good to finish a project doesn't it. A quilt like that does't need lots of quilting. It's great.

I live in a log cabin and this is exactly the kind of quilt I would love to have in my bedroom. Do you have a pattern or did you make it up? You are very talented!!!

Virginia - please go ahead and use this as your Feb strip!

BW - our bed is 2 metres long I think that's 6' 8".

LogCabinLady - the nine patches are made from 3" finished squares. I drew the heart myself on a folded piece of paper to get it symetrical, traced it onto plastic and cut out a template then cut out all I needed in freezer paper. These I used to cut my fabrics then I appliquéd them on to 9 1/2" background squares by hand, slipping out the freezer paper around an inch from the end. Then I laid out all the 9 patch squares (assembled on machine) and the heart squares on the floor and played around til I liked the layout. Hope this helps. :-D

Thank you everyone! It feels great to have it finished and on the bed! While there's still some winter left to actually NEED it!
