For sure the yellow goop shouldn't be there. I have had mine since it was new and never has a service person placed anything on the cam stack

This is from my machine, not the one on ebay. Notice how dry they are. The one on the right is next to the hand wheel. The other one is in the center of the arm and is cracked, but the crack can't be seen in this picture. There are two cam stacks on the 1222 as indicated by the red arrows. Is that really the way it's suppose to be threaded? I cannot quite figure out if it's just because I cannot see it from the front that it looks wrong or that it is actually wrong. But for sure that goop shouldn't be there.

My Morse fotomatic had that same goo on her camstack. I asked about it back when (Morse Fotomatic IV 4400 repair) and got no reply, so I wiped it all off. It looked better dry! I haven't pulled her out in a while to make sure she still runs. Too many sick machines to fix, too little time.
