Lovely. Hats off too you and others making prayer quilts. It's a privilege but you always wish there were no need for them. Sigh.

My church makes prayer quilts too. Both my husband and I were recipients as we had open heart surgery one month apart. We made them and gave them to members, etc. One family loved theirs so much that the quilt was laid atop a casket, removed and given to the family after the service.

Thanks for the explanation. I couldn't remember what a prayer quilt was for. About 7 years ago someone from my church wanted to send one to my sister, who is suffering from breast cancer. It was special to her, especially getting something from someone who doesn't know you, but cares about you and prays for you.

Pretty quilt! The comfort your quilt will bring will be bigger than you can imagine!
