I was just looking at the possibility of undertaking this project but wanted to make sure that the pattern didn't use y-seams! I realllly dislike those. Let me know charisma if there are y-seams to be concerned with. It's a beautiful pattern and , as always, you've done a fantastic job!!

Well it's not perfect......but I specifically wanted to make it so that I could quilt it. But As you know...it may sit for years before I decide what to actually quilt. Tons of STAND & STARE time as you say.

Hi SewSoMuch, So there are actually 2 y seams at the very end and there is actually a way to avoid them with a little extra cutting. I think once you see the pattern and how it's constructed you will know right away how to avoid them. I had precut all of my background and I just decided to go ahead and do the Y-seams. I had plenty of white to cut the extra pieces...but I thought it would be a good way to face my fear. LOL I think you will really enjoy this project. It's very easy to understand the pattern. I just went step by step and read it a few times. After few blocks you get the hang of using the ruler and it becomes second nature.

I am right there with you! I wish I could complete everything I have started...LOL

It will be another gorgeous quilt when you get to quilting it. Nice colors.

Retiring has been a challenge when my Husband retired too. We had worked in our business for 30 some odd years. Being home 24/7 is a little different.
