I am circa 1950 so the Jubilae is 3 years older than me!
Loved the ROI, land of my grandparents but the soggy weather got the better of my husband's health.
My daughter who has a French degree met her French husband in Ireland when they both worked for a U.S. internet company.....they followed us here for the sun and I now have a totally bilingual 4 year old granddaughter. Isn't life strange? I haven't quilted 'properly' for ages but plan to make a quilt for Sophie after I've finished edging old blankets etc. for local animal shelter. Thanks for the warm welcome, I feel at home already.

(especially for Iceblossom) re 'where you live'......just getting the hang of the forum.

Bonjour slightly jealously from me! I would love to retire somewhere as lovely as the south of France! Actually, at this point I'd take retiring wherever at all, more time for quilting...

Welcome from Missouri. My family spent 4 years in France while my father was stationed there in 1954. Loved the villages, winding roads, stone fences. This is a great board for quilting and friendships. So glad you can join us.

Hi and welcome from North Carolina. Warm and sunny sounds great! We're expecting snow, ice, sleet this weekend.
