Do you want to feature the colored blocks or the black strips? How big are the colored blocks? If they are small enough to be ok with recommendation from the batting you are using, perhaps let them be as they are with stitch in the ditch between them and then do some sort of design in the long black strips--feathers or one of the template designs that are available. Is there a complimentary "medallion" sort of design that could be used in the corners that would make that look intentional rather than "didn't have enough to miter the corner"? Very nice design that you used in creating this!

Where did you download the pattern. I love your colors and the border. I have no idea how to quilt it but I love it.

It was a one day Mystery Quilt, but she has the directions up on her Etsy site as Case # 142, for sale.

This was truly a mystery, because I followed all the "clues" that you folks gave me and they led me here and there on the 'net until I found just what I was looking for!

    Thanks. Further pics to come.

Hubby says that it needs a floral design in the black spaces to tie in the borders. I think he has a good eye for that was what I was thinking too. He surprised me to say that from the couch behind me in the room. He is a non quilter, but has seen many a quilt go though here. LOL!

I also thought a appliqued vine with multi-colored leaves would be fun up the middle of the black spaces.

Tell Hubby he's a genius, because that's what I was quilting in there all day yesterday.

Enlarge the design in the Black fabric border and use that as a Quilting Pattern in the Black Wide Stripes.. As for the Blocks I like the idea of using a Celtic Design.. maybe a elongated Figure 8 in the Narrow areas...Just suggestions..

I have no idea how to quilt it. I just wanted to say that I think it is a very stunning quilt.
