When I first started quilting and had zero supplies, I started with connecting threads, I loved it.. only thing was you HAVE to clean the bobbin area constantly due to excessive lint! Color choices are endless too! I now use auricle 50wt but still use others occasionally.

I love Superior Threads Masterpiece and buy cones of it in several neutral shades. But also use Aurifil 50 wt.

I've used Gutterman for 20 years at least. I get the larger spools from JoAnn's - 876 yards is what it says on the spool. I always get them when there's a sale or when I can use a coupon.

I just saw some on Amazon, approximately $28 for two 3,281 yard spools! That way cheaper than smaller cones at JoAnn's even on their best sale!

I like Masterpiece, Presencia 60 wt. and also buy Gutermann when it's on sale.
