Please post your finished GW in the Jen Kingwell thread? You inspire all ladies who are working on the GW or still deciding whether to make one or not

Great finish...fun colors. How did you decide to quilt it? I haven’t been able to decide how to quilt mine so it has just been folded up for a couple of months.

The hard way. I stay out of the ditch so I top stitched to the left of each strip all the way up and down the quilt, avoiding the blocks. Then I went in and stitched the blocks any way that seemed appropriate to the block. It's a heavy quilt. My next one will be an all over stitch even though I like the effect of the quilting. It was a long laborious process. At the end of all the tugging and turning, the quilt lay flat. I then faced the quilt after stay stitching the ends. That's where the waves occured. But, my quilts are seldom laying flat. So it's all right.

Your Gypsy Wife is beautiful and inspirational. You colors are gorgeous and it's awesome that it is from your stash.

I have a Gypsy Wife in progress. Most of the blocks are made and 3 sections sewn together. This is the inspiration I needed today to keep going. I have 8 more blocks to make and running out of steam. Thank you Toverly!

Keep on going Amanda in NM. It gets better and better as you add sections. Happy sewing!
