Yay! We have a horse block for June! https://www.quiltinaday.com/shoponli...he-Farm/225611 . Hopefully we will see some more horses this month. I have already done one myself.

Thanks for the link NZ. I think I will keep my horse that I already did in my quilt. I am glad to see another animal though. One more month to go and this will wrap up this quilt along. Don't know if I will have mine all quilted or not. But, I am working on it. And, will work on it more after tomorrow. My grandbabies have been here visiting from IN and will leave tomorrow afternoon. So, have been spending time with them and haven't been sewing hardly at all. I did take up the straps on a couple of dresses that I bought for my granddaughters. But, that's about it. I do miss sewing. But, I will plenty of time to sew after they leave.

I can't wait to see some horses here. Is there anyone out there still following along. (Even if you changed up your blocks, we would love to see them.)

Yeah, I love the horse block. Don't know yet if I will finish with an overall Sam. Everyone's blocks are looking good.

Finished the May block just in time for the new block to come out.
Loved doing the Farmer's Market but still need to quilt and embellish
it. And then to start the Handsome Horse block.

Sjens, that is awesome. Your canning jars look so real. How did you get them to shine like real glass?

That is precious. You are so talented. Love your take on the blocks, you don't care what they are, you just go with them and make them your own.

Good morning Farmers. It is not an early start in my house today. I am battling a summer cold that my precious grands left with me. (Oh, thank you for sharing. )

I don't know why I'm having such a hard time following the patterns that are provided. I finished Matt the Sheep. And, after much ripping and replacing fabric in spots and doing a touch of hand painting to get the color balance right, I am for the most part very happy with the block. But, it is 3/4" too long. Now, I have to share with you, my blocks notoriously come out short. Yet, this one is long. I tried chopping the 3/4" off the bottom. It made the sheep legs look stupid and stubby. So, took that part off, re-cut and re-sewed piece back on. I have decided that I am going to loose the 3/4" off in the sashing. Yes, it will show, but, hopefully not that much. I have ripped this block apart so many times that I just don't want to mess with it again. I am hoping to hand paint on the eyes and will try that before sewing on the sashing. That way if there is a goof, I can rip and insert a new piece. I have been planning buttons for the eyes, but, with doing the sheep face in black, I don't think it will look right??

Well, okay, I'm working on the picture re-size. (hopefully, just a sec.)

Okay, not a sec, for some reason, the re-size is weirdly taking time. Will back soon as I figure out what the problem is.
