Default Queen of the Prairie

Last fall, a couple of my sewing buds and I challenged each other to do a large paper-pieced project. I chose Judy Niemeyer's Prairie Star. I had it on my longarm for about a month and finally have it finished and bound. It's pieced with all Moda Grunge fabrics, except for one Kaufman print named Brushwork, which was the source of my color choices. (it's part of the center star). It has two layers of batting, 80/20 poly/cotton and wool. I named it "Queen of the Prairie". I plan to use it as a wall-hanging.

Lovely colours! Your quilting is beautiful, I can't imagine how heavy it must be with all that thread.
