Negative thoughts are not allowed in my sewing room - just positive ones. Things like I can't do this pattern, it is too difficult for example. I only take drinking water in a container with a top that closes. I do have a candy stash occassionally. I try not to buy it very much since I do love to eat the stuff! Right now I have to fight the impulse to open the window and throw out my expensive water resavoir steam iron since it started leaking from the bottom of the resavoir - it does still heat up and produce steam. I guess I will have to give up and get another one soon.

Pretty much nothing is banned from my sewing space as it's open to the stairwell so I can't close it off. though I've discussed the option of putting a screen "wall" and door so I could keep the cats out . . . However I never take food up there.
My stash is in a sperate room, and that one I try to keep the pets and any food/drink out of there.

Set it on a puppy pad. That will absorb the leak with no bulk underneath it. They are inexpensive and disposable. I use them for a lot of wet purposes such as door mats when it wet outside, any water leak, soaking up spilled liquid, and absorbing water from hand washed items I don't want to twist and wring.

My cats are allowed in my sewing room because Baby just sleeps and I keep my eye on Mookie until he finds a spot to curl up in. I love having them with me.
I don't eat or drink in my sewing room but I don't really have a rule. I just don't snack much.
My husband has no desire to walk in that room haha
