I always buy mine online. With several of these machines taking different bobbins online is the fastest and easiest way to shop. I can usually get what I need in a single order and save a great deal of foot work.

I recently read that if your bobbin case is metal then you should not use anything but metal bobbins and if plastic bobbin case then plastic...I now go by this rule. You can find the metal at Joann's if not I go thru Amazon or Singer.com

another thing I always buy Genuine Singer bobbins or whatever your machine is. This could be your issue and why only a few work..

I have had the same problem with buying modern bobbins for my vintage machines... Even when being extra careful about the type and the material (metal v. plastic)
Not having easy access to sew classic (postage across the seas is a deterrent) I resort to scouring the flea markets garage sales, charity shops for vintage bobbins. Lol
