This works if you have and Android phone. If you have an iPhone, it's a different story.

I have an IPhone and email the picture to myself. I download it from email to my computer. I use Groovebook so every pic I take with my phone is printed 100 at a time (I select which pics I don't want to print). I get 100 pics printed in a photo book for $3 a month and free shipping. I have never lost a picture taken with my phone. I have dozens of the photo books and every pic is saved and I can get copies anytime I want them.
