Are you at all interested in trying a One Block Wonder (aka kaleidoscope) quilt? If so, take a close up picture of the fabric with the most colors, from repeat to repeat. Save the photo. Go to oneblockwonder.com and click on Design Helper. You can upload a saved image, scroll down to see the triangles and then click "make hexies" and it'll show you what one could look like!

I would let the print speak for itself. Leave it big. Check here for some ideas.

I just finished this one that had a large floral print. I am very pleased with it. It is simply black sashing and 8 1/2 inch blocks.

There's also a YouTube tutorial Donna Jordan does on a pattern using all Kaffe Fasset prints which would work for yours. I think the pattern is called Abundance. Check that one out and see if you like it. It's not a difficult pattern but packs a punch, largely because of the fabrics.

I am also stepping outside the square at the moment doing a very bright modern pattern....like you, I usually prefer muted, autumnal and batiks but I couldn't resist buying this book and giving myself a challenge! This book has quite a few paper pieced quilts and also cushions which I thought could be lovely and bright. All the instructions and foundations etc are included in the book...you just have to photocopy the appropriate foundations out. Instructions are very easy of you are familiar with paper piecing and this book gives you quite a lot of block patterns that you can play with as you like...mix and match etc.

This quilt used some large florals that we liked. You could use different fabrics for the 1/2 size and 1/4 size diamonds or just use all the same like we did.
I say “go big or go home”!! If you are going to do something outside the box, really go for it! I love this pattern, with a neutral white and a great pop of color. Please post when you finish. It will inspire others!!

I had a bunch of large print modern fat quarters.....and I had a never used large tumbler block die....so I cut the fat quarters up using the die and made a twin sized quilt with them.....it turned out fine...bright...out of the box from what I usually do....was quick nnd easy....can't post a picture as I haven't figured it out how to get from my cell to here.....Lin

Beautiful fabrics. I like you I haven't really done much of anything with the modern flair. How exciting for you to have won these.

Congratulations! I think you have already been given some nice ideas. I especially like the Tula Pink one. Whatever you decide to make please share a picture here.
