Thank you everyone for the comments and compliments! I'm overwhelmed! For those who were surprised that it was only my third quilt, you should know it took me over a year to make it! Once I was satisfied with the design, I had to make the templates for the applique, find the fabric while staying faithful to the African cloth that was the inspiration before I could start. But it was so much fun.

Thank you for the narrative -

I do have one question, though. Who does the quilt "belong" to if the children are twins?

Good question! This is a family of twins. The dads are identical twins. I've known them for over 35 years and I still can't tell them apart. Their sister also had identical twins. But your question, they wouldn't use it, but hung it on the bedroom wall. Now that the new version of Lion King is out, the kids are obsessed with it and are excited about the quilt again! There's nothing new in the world!! My favorite is the stage version. I took my grandson when he was 4. He was transfixed the entire play. It was the beginning of a love affair that continues still as he is a senior in college.
