The squares finish at 2”. I did not quilt it myself. I had it done by Bonnie at “Busy Bee Quilting” and I love how she quilted it. This quilt weighs a ton! I am really proud of it and I really stretched myself to do it. I joined a group at a LQS and we met once a month to show our progress. I am very competitive so I knew I would finish it. So far, I am the only one with a completed quilt. The pattern from Pam included 6 small quilts along the way. So far, we have been given 3 and I have those tops done but still have to quilt them.

Many quilt shops across the US did this quilt and the shop where I joined won 1st place. So proud of Val, the owner. I don’t think she ever sleeps. Her shop is beautiful as are her patterns and displays. By the way, she did the long arm quilting on Pam Buda’s quilt and Pam brought it in and had a “meet and greet” before we started the quilt.

Beautiful work and I just cannot wait to see it. I certainly would have enough scraps to do one but wow would have to really think on it.

you did great! Love civil war fabrics, did you do a block exchange to get different fabrics from others?
