What machine - and needles - and thread - do you use for sewing leather?

i turn the machine by hand, you have to go very slow, if you go fast,the thread gets cut by the needle
the bobbin acts up, you have to restart and rethread etc etc

Frodo Are you using a hand crank?

They give you three stiches per turn. but you have to get used to turning it backwards. If you have a boss and a spoked handwheel it can be an easy add. Here is one on a 99.
