Is there a particular pattern that you followed to sew the Attic Window where the deers are? I have the same panel and I am not sure of the dimensions to cut and sew up the Attic Window. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Like I said I didn't have a pattern. I know I cut my 'mortar' 1 1/2 inches X 4 1/2 between the bricks. However, right against the sides of the frame they had to be a little wider because you have to pay attention when you lay out your strips that your mortar matches all the way down. I must admit I had to rip some seams and said after the queen I'd never make another. Too much headache. Famous last words because I then had to make the King!-lol- the bricks were 4 1/2 x 8 1/4 , I think, except for ones on side of frame at beginning and ending. It really doesn't matter just so bricks are consistent in size and you keep your mortar lined up. Hope this helps.

love these quilts and I too have some inspiration to make some for my guys in my family. Thanks for sharing. Your quilting is fantastic, on the deer jumping, the quilting makes the deer panel look like a jig saw puzzle that you have put together.

Thank you Toogie for giving me some ideas on the bricks and mortar pattern. At least I can figure it out from here and I sure do rip out a lot so that won't bother me. Your advice is so much appreciated.

That way my thought too...not sure if I like it. This was my last one and I was ready to be through, so I made big meandering.... hope they like it as much as you seem to. thanks!
