Congratulations and Merry Christmas! I just love having a place where quilters can come and share good news with people who are genuinely happy to celebrate with you or to help others with problems. And as fellow quilters, we've certainly had experience with both!

Merry Christmas. It is actually a good thing to have time to look over your manual anticipate the pleasure of working with your new serger. Enjoy!

Congrats on your new serger! I've been using one my mother purchased in 1988 and it's on its last legs. I had it in to the shop for service a few months ago because it had a problem and got the same "difficult to get parts" message. Since coming home from the shop it consistently breaks one of the needle threads, no matter what adjustment I make. I'm ready to give up and shop for a new one. I doubt I'll get the deal you did, but maybe boxing day sales might help.
