Default Finished first applique project (just in time for Christmas)

While having our house built over the past year, I got to know a couple of quilters where we were renting. One was a big fan of applique and suggested this project for last year's holiday effort. Well, I did get the materials, but never did get set up to sew anything.

I've never done any applique before, so had to buy a book to learn. I know I made mistakes along the way, or perhaps let's call them "modifications" to the techniques, but I am thrilled that I finally finished this and barely in time for Christmas. Boy, that was a lot of quilting in a small space!

That is a beautiful table runner. You did a great job on it and I think you have the art of applique mastered already

Well you are quite talented doing appliqué. How did you make your bias binding and sew? Please give us hints, you did a great job.
