If you want another border, I'd add it before the piano keys so they are the last border. How large will it be with the piano keys? Is that enough?

Well, after a long sleep, a fresh pot of coffee, a John Wayne movie (The Cowboys) and getting a small load of laundry started, I'm in my quilting room waiting for my irons to heat up (I use a full size and a mini-iron).

I am really hoping I can resolve the issues I've got going, I absolutely love the hexagon quilts and I'm able to get the hexies into the flowers without so much as a glitch, but attaching the flowers to the black path, for whatever reason, is proving difficult. I'm changing up my way of putting them on, I'm doing the outer ring of color on the path first, then attaching the smaller flower from there, I'm hoping if I downscale a little, I can get the control I need.

Anybody has any ideas? I'm completely open to suggestions, lol.

I took today off work and worked on my Only One quilt. I spent a good part of the afternoon rearranging blocks on the design wall. i"m hoping to come up with my final placement and get them sewn together this weekend.

I'm in, thanks for hosting Raggiemom. My small quilting group is making a scrappy quilt to donate to the children's corner in our local library. I've donated some of my scraps. There are four of us we've each made a 6x6 block with black sashing. I'm putting it together. I should have reminded everyone to check their seam allowance. Had to spend last evening adjusting most of the squares to fit. I'm picking up the last column at lunchtime just hoping I don't have any adjusting to do. Then a scrappy border and sandwich the quilt. My sewing room is beyond a mess and it's difficult to sew in there, so I'll have to spend some (a lot of) time tidying before I attempt to quilt.

Rob, I hope you post a photo of your microquilting when you have it finished...I’m not sure I would have the patience but am always in awe of those who do...

Quiltah mama, yes, it was quite chilly and windy yesterday. I wonder if we’ll get as much snow on this next storm. It sounds like you have plenty of bibs and burp cloths to keep you busy.

Dedemac, it's not easy, I am so glad that I'm retired so I don't have to go out in it. We had 16 slid in mishaps record for Friday in the metro. Now if it does rain and warm up some it could wash the ice away

Quiltingshorttimer, I live in the south part of Johnson County Kansas, between I-35 and US69. No ice or snow now just cold wind. So I really must sew

I need to go out and clear the drive before I can quilt. The snow advisory is in effect until 7 pm tomorrow, but I'd rather clean the drive several times than just one deep mess. It's warming up and the warmer it gets, the heavier the snow so here I go into the falling snow. I got my border ripped and the new pieces pinned.
