Pfaff Ambition. I’ve never done anything bigger than lap size.

I use my Bernina 440 QE with my BSR. It has taken me a few years of practice, however, I feel I am improving.

Singer 15-91 is my go-to machine. Can't fault the machine, only the operator

I put my Janome 1600P on a small Grace II quilting frame. Mostly do a stipple or a loop de loop FM stitch. Works for me.

My Janome 6600. It has a 9" throat space. I can do even King size quilts. Love it.

I have a Brother PQ1500S It has an 11 inch throat space and a tall vertical space as well. I can quilt a king size no problem.

Artistic Longarm Sitdown by Janome. It's been an awesome machine and a real game changer. Such a treat to have a machine just to quilt on.

Pfaff PQ16. It’s a rebranded early model HQSweetSixteen. I’ve had it a year now. I really like it.

Since I last posted on this thread I bought a Bernina 770QE and it has the BSR and lots of room for quilting. I still use my Juki too, but love the BSR.

I free motion quilt on all my machines and they all do a great job. Until I bought the Sweet16 I used my Brother PQ1500s for big projects unless I wanted to FMQ using a zigzag stitch in which case I would and still do use either my Brother PC420 or my Brother VX560. Now I mainly keep the PQ1500s set up for piecing since I find I can be very accurate with it. Most of the time I use the Sweet16 for FMQ since it has extra big bobbins and a big throat with lots of visibility all around the needle. I did recently use the PC420 to fmq a large project because the 100wt thread I was using kept shredding (caused by being too heavy handed with the spray baste). I have anti-glue needles (which helped some) for the PC420 and it has an auto needle threader which makes life a lot easier when you have to keep rethreading.

Ergot- I use whichever machine will get the job done the easiest.

Rob
