Wow those are both just stunning. I love the simplicity of the black and white one. It is so striking. The blue & white one- holy moly what a lot of work! It is so awesome. Thanks for sharing. And your little granddaughter- what an adorable little peanut.

Both quilts are amazing! The string quilt caught my eye as perfect for my son....I love the black and white fabrics you chose. I have never wanted to make a string quilt until I saw this colorway. Please share the name of the string quilt pattern if you used one. Thank you for sharing your photos...sweet GD looks very proud of you!

Thank you. I just used an 8.5 inch piece of paper and used as foundation.I used 2.5 inch strips one white across the centre the rest black and white. The sashing is black strip 1 1/4 inch and white strips 1 3/4 inch. Outside border is 4 inches
