How exciting to help a Grand sew! (Ask me how I know!) Seeing their feeling of accomplishment is such a joy, isn't it? Well done on the HST's and meeting points; then using a fleece backing and quilting on a DSM. She met the challenge!

Yes, this is the first time I tried the pool noodle technique and it was great !!! I will definitely try it on my next bigger project 😉

How heartwarming it is to see pictures of your granddaughter making her first quilt. How blessed you must feel to have her want to learn from you & how blessed she must be for having her grandmother teach her what could become a lifelong journey into the quilting world.
I made my first quilt at age 20 and did a terrible job on it. She looks like she's off to a great start with that cute, cute quilt. I'm so glad to see that she labeled it so she will always know it was her "first". Congratulations on a very well made quilt.
