Out of Retirement Singer 247
I decided it was time to take my Juki in for a cleaning and alignment so I pulled out a machine that I have used very little. I picked up this beauty at a garage sale last summer for $3. I only put it to use last fall at a project at my church and I was not the one using it so I never really got a sense of what it does until today. It has a beautiful stitch! It is a very basic all metal machine. Other than what I was just reading about it on line a few minutes ago I know nothing else. I oiled it up and lubed it last fall. The motor and foot pedal all seem to be in order. The belt may have a bit of slack but I have yet to feel if that is the normal rhythm of the machine. So for now this lady is out of retirement. Any information that any one here has that will maximize the pleasure in using this machine is greatly welcome. I don't recall in recent months any discussion on this machine. Now to go look and see if I can find the manual online.

You can download the free manual at Singer.com, here's the link https://www.singer.com/search/support?title=247
I don't have any experience with the 247 but you can try searching the Vintage and antique machine section of the forum.
