lol - I have three!! I love my Pfaffs.

I have a 2058 - for piecing and a 2170 for embroidery. I have just purchased a used Creative 2.0 that has the large throat. I used it yesterday for piecing - stitches beautify! The 2.0 does embroidery as well but I purchased it to piece on. It was fantastic to use but I still really love the 2058

Just one thing - the manuals for the older machines (2170 and 2058) were excellent. Even a novice could find out how to use the machine. -The Creative 2.0's manual was dreadful - I have sewn / machine embroidered for years and I had a very hard time finding a few settings.

I have a Pfaff Expression 2.0, and I love it. I have only been quilting 4 years, but she and I just finished our 82nd quilt. I'd say we are a good match.

PS...AudreyB....about three messages back....is my sister and she took me sewing machine shopping, at my husband's insistence. I tried all kinds of machines, and Audrey really recommended the Pfaff, based on hers. I have never regretted the decision.

I have Pfaff 7550 . Love it. I would be very sad if I was to die . Parts are very hard to find for these machines I have been told.
Does anyone know anything about the Pfaff Hobbymatic 935 ? Thinking about buying for a backup machine. Thank you.

I have had a Pfaff since 1993. I love them. I have upgraded several times and have been happy with each one. The IDT can't be beat. They are real work horses. I have regular tune ups and cleanings. That is all I have every done. I started with a very basic machine and then went to a 7550, and I still have it. I bought a 2144 and after a few years, traded up for a Creative Sensation Pro. I love that machine and use it almost every day not that I have retired. I have recommended Pfaff to friends who have bought them from my dealer. I was head seamstress at a bridal shop and the boss bought 2 Ambition 1.0 and a Pfaff serger to use for bridal sewing. They were wonderful machines. You won't go wrong with a Pfaff.

It's because people (like me) are hogging them!

I have or have owned 5-1222's plus 1-1221 (in a cabinet). I now am downsizing and need to reduce their numbers.

I also have a Pfaff Passport 3 - which is an alright machine - but IMHO the 1222 was the perfect sewing machine and Pfaff should just go back to making them. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of today's machines but oh how it stitches with the IDT! And it is solid!

Thank you for the information. After using a Pfaff with IDT I do not think I can buy another machine without it.

I have a Pfaff tiptronic 2030 that I bought in 2001 specifically to quilt. Love it. I have been able to do fmq quite well with it. I only wish it had more fancy stitches. I am going to try rulers so I can do more designs. I get yearly maintanence done and have only replaced the needle lever once. Have had no other problems. I can't justify the cot of a new machine if I can master the ruler work.

I purchased 2 older Pfaffs, as I very much wanted to try the IDT system. The first one was a basic Select 3, that I got for $65, and the second one I purchased (Ebay) was a Pfaff Expression 2046 for $225. Needless to say, I love the IDT. It really does make a difference in having things line up correctly. Also, very smooth sewing experience (especially on the Select 3) . Both machines have troublesome bobbin winders, but I have mastered a way to get them wound correctly. If ever I felt the need for a newer machine, I would first look at the Pfaff. But, I own 5 other sewing machines, besides these two, so I have a hard time convincing myself I need a new one.
