Finished quilting borders on my peacock-churn dash. Trimmed. Made a label (!) Made up the binding and its turned out 30% longer than needed (so says the Kaufman calculator). Scrappy so I have to test fit. To make sure none of the joins ends up in an inconvenient spot.

    Also organizing fabric pile.

And took a walk in the sunshine.

And talked to my mother. (Its been a good day)

    Rff1010 Very pretty.

Everyday is quilting day for me. I did sew some blocks together. I am working a bit slower than in the past few years. I still hope to make at least 30 quilts for foster kids in my county.I have several tops made.

    Happy Quilting day to all.

Gee, I just sat down a while back, and just saw this news. I hope everybody is having fun sewing. Me, I'm trying to straighten out the old sewing room. I'm making some head way, but have a long way to go before I'm done. I'm kind of having some fun doing this, as I'm finding things that I thought were gone. LOL Maybe doing this counts as My Quilting Day. Thanks, Quilting Nan, for posting

Happy Quilting Day back to all of you! I have to say that since self isolating, we are having trouble keeping track of what day it is! today I sent out info to guild members about making masks and then worked on finish on a wall hanging. I will try again to post a picture on it tomorrow--but it's a wall hanging using improv Drunkards Path blocks from a class with Tia Curtis. I decided since I'd done tons of free motion quilting on it, that I wanted to finish with facing instead of binding. Little worried that since I'd used 2 layers of bat, that it might not work, but I'm really happy with it.

Happy Quilting Day to all! I was busy quilting when my niece, an Emergency Room RN sent me a text asking if my fellow quilters would be willing to make face masks for her hospital. No way could I refuse - so I have washed fabric and ordered elastic. (There is none to be found locally since all medical providers are begging for them.) I actually had to get it from Ebay and it won't be here until Friday. Amazon was sold out except for what was coming from Hong Kong and wouldn't get here for more than a week. It has been a long time since I have followed any type of garment sewing. Not hard to do - it's just different.

I pulled out my bargello UFO a few weeks ago and (don't faint) began disassembling it. Yes, I know what you are thinking. Unfortunately, seems I can only work on realigning strips for about an hour before I become quite frustrated. I have yet to figure out how 2/3's of the top is fine but the other part seems to be curving. So yesterday I decided to do some hand embroidery instead.

Hope all of you had a wonderful "National Quilting Day".

I was able to finish 2 feathers with that crazy curved ruler and curved puecing. They were barely wide enough to trim down because the more pieces I added, the more it bent to the left. Today I made a bird with the crazy ruler. I had problems with that too. At the end of the day, I’ll post photos of the blocks I finished.

Well I worked on Gudrun's Elvira quilt most of the day.... the FB page wouldn't work for me as so many people were accessing it, but it was still something to keep my brain occupied and will make a good donation quilt. https://gequiltdesigns.com/
