wedding/virus quilt label
I am making a quilt for my niece for her wedding shower which is supposed to be this summer but it doesn't look like that will happen. At this point, the wedding is scheduled for October which hasn't yet been rescheduled but who knows. My question is, if putting a date on the label, would you put the date you finished the quilt (it's done), the date of the wedding (which may or may not be different now) or just the month/year it was made? Also my label is going to say May all your wishes come true Danny and Megam. Made with love by "my full name".. or "Aunt Mary Ann"? I was thinking of adding something like "during the corona quarantine"? Too much??? Can you think of something clever.. Not a lot of words. Using my Janome 6600.Takes forever to program.

I would use:
May all your wishes come true Danny and Megan.
Made with love by Aunt Mary Ann
2020
I would not add "during the corona quarantine" or make any references to the corona virus. Why include a reminder of a stressful, anxious and sad time when the quilt is for a happy occasion?

I feel the same, although the choice is up to you in the end.

I actually agree. This quilt had nothing to do with the virus except I was able to do a lot of work on it. I will not include any mention. It has caused me immense personal anxiety thus why would I want to commemorate it! Thank you.

My aunt is a Master Quilter (like, has won blue ribbons at shows and stuff).
This is what she put.on my wedding quilt.
(and I'm going to agree - No Corona)

I also do not think any reference to the virus should be on the quilt. This is about their day, whenever it is. It's not about anything else.

I also don’t think that the current state of affairs would be an appropriate reference in a label but your quilt your rules 😊.

I would not put the corona virus reference on the quilt. My daughter got married during this time and both her shower and wedding were canceled. They married at city hall at a nearby city and were allowed only one witness to be there. The only reason even that they were able to is because he is active millitary.
