Pillow

Pillow
Nothing too exciting, but I made a pillow out of orphan blocks and used Donna Jordan's envelope method for the case. It worked really well although for the second one I think I'll make the actual pillow top a bit more roomy as it is kind of squishing the pillow form.
I needed something with immediate results to get me back into the sewing room as I've been in such a slump lately.

Very nice and hopefully those bright colored fabrics will get you out of your slump and back into sewing again soon. It is very trying times now but I find if I can sew a little each day then I feel good about being sheltered in. Take care of yourself and good luck to you

I have made a lot of pillows in the last few years. Have been making memory pillows out of men's shirts. One hint I learned was to make the corners a bit rounded instead of a 90 degree corner. I kinda like when the pillow is a bit tight. Makes the front more visible. Great job. Like the variegated thread idea.

Your pillow is lovely! I like it very much. I understand your slump. I think many of us are being pulled in all directions right now. Right now however I seemed glued to the sewing machine while other things are taking the back seat. The Stay Home, Stay Safe orders are wearing on everyone. I have been inside now for just about 10 weeks. Since the end of Feb. There are so many things I should be doing. and I am wearing down. I am so glad the pillow is a self starter for you. I am looking forward to your next project. I will be watching for it.
