I was wondering if anyone who has a Babylock Jazz, uses it on a quilt frame? I have a tabletop frame my son is making a base for. The dealer who fixed the Jazz needle bar, told me not to use it on a frame, it will bounce around too much. I never heard of machines bouncing. I used a Pfaff on it when I had it on a banquet table and it never bounced. The base my son is making is steel and I know it won't bounce.

Just wondering if you are using the Jazz on a frame how is it working out.

I am not using the jazz but my brothers works fine on a frame?? No bouncing. I have to wonder and ask more questions. I would also ask at another dealer to see if he/she gives the same advice. This frame you son is building for you sounds super.

I can't wait till he finishes it. It is going to be 24" x 7" which is all I can fit in my sewing room. He is putting wheels on it so I can move it and chains so I can hang my roll of batting under it out of the way. I forgot to tell him I want to put a shelf or drawer for my scissors etc. I know he can do it and there is room, because the batting roll is not 7" long. I will post pictures when it it done.

Also I have never heard anyone complain of their machine bouncing on a frame. LOL

I haven't been around the Jazz, but it shouldn't "bounce" whatever that means. Being a top loading bobbin the hook rotates in a horizontal plane. They tend to be the smoother than the vertical orientation.

I cant see it bouncing around. It weights 27 pounds. Curious about this.

In my mind,, the bouncing is more a function of the rails or table that the machine sits on.
