Default The Nearly Insane Quilt

I've just recently learned of this. Has anyone made one. Are the blocks paper pieced. Difficultly level about the same as a Dear Jane Quilt?

I found a/the book on Amazon, until somewhere here reports in you might want to read the comments.

Good luck and best wishes to you for even considering it.

I have the book and plan on doing it - but then I love little pieces! I may swap out a few blocks, because I don't want any with less than 20 pieces per block. I think the "worst" block I've done so far was 144 pieces for a 6" block.

I admit I love a nice big 16" with lots of smaller subunits (not that Ive done very many but a girl can dream) but that many crumbs for only 6"....

Girl....you do you. Over there. In the crazy room.

But if you know what you are getting into, then go for it!

That is so confusing. The description in IceBlossom's link says "gives templates and directions" but all the comments say there are no instructions.

There are no real instructions, just full-sized drawings of the blocks. You come up with your own pattern, either pieced or paper pieced. I have made quite a few blocks from Nearly Insane and Just Plain Nuts, both by Liz Lois. Love the challenge... once in a while. Have never made either of the whole quilts. Here's a sampler with blocks from the books.

I have a friend who made it. It is really an amazing quilt and hers is beautiful.. I have not had the energy to tackle it.

Mkotch-Your quilt is very pretty. I don't like working with little pieces but it would be a great challenge for someone else.
