    Default Loving New Skills

Yea! Posting a picture of my quilt is the final step in completion! The quilting on the main panel turned out straighter than I thought it would. First time to use the guide on my walking foot. For the borders, I broke out my double needle and used the serpentine stitch. On the outer border, I FMQ with gold metallic thread around each seashell. My skills improved as I went! And the washable marker lines washed out!!

Great idea to use the double needle, it adds pizazz to your quilting.

Kudos on the double needle and it really added a special touch to the already cute panel. Great job and love the border fabric.

It is always using a new skill and feeling that wonder when things go just as you planned. I love your quilt. My favorite place is the beach too.
