    Default Week 6.1

Looks like block and top have the edge. I'll be posting several times this evening to get everything put up. Just the block for now, so the people who want to wait/catch up can tune in next week! 😋

OK, we’ve got this collection of 3 1/2 inch blocks, so what are we going to do with them? Not what you think, probably!

This is it. You will be making 24 9-inch blocks for a 4-block by 6-block lap quilt. I told you it was weird! When I found it in 5500 Quilt Block Designs, I wondered why it was arranged and colored asymmetrically. It’s called The Queen’s Petticoat.

The second picture is the block exploded, so you can see what component goes where.

Post 6.1 - Very clever block. I would never, never have guessed that this is what we would end up with. Tomorrow will be block creation day! Thanks, Iceleopard!

    Default Week 6.2 The Quilt!

And this is why this block is asymmetrical. Look what happens when you rotate the blocks!

Yeh. I like it too. Just finishing the back for another quilt. Than I'll get that one together. This thread reminds me.

How wonderful! I have cut out weeks 1 to 4 and ran out of my light fabric. I will have to think about what I'll do for week 5's light fabric. Maybe I'll have time to actually sew them together. Depends on life.
