These seam rippers are excellent. JFYI, eyebrow trimmers are the same thing and cheaper. MY LQS sells the eyebrow trimmer. At a Judy Niemeyer class, the teacher handed the eye brow trimmers out. I bought them for all the girls in the quilt guild that I belong to for Christmas that year.

I would be interest in a quality comparison between the Kai and dollar store varieties. I use the cheap ones. Didn't know Kai had them, but Kai is always top quality IMHO.

I have used other brands of this type on long seams. The third hand tool makes it super fast and easy to use.

Well, shoot! I have one of those I originally bought for my eyebrows, but it never seemed to work well for me -thanks for the save, now I can use it!

I have considered this seam remover a few times but have not gotten around to ordering one.

I don't think the eyebrow trimmers have a guard on the side to prevent cutting the fabric.

Best part is that the "teeth" don't cut your skin. I just checked with mine.

Yes, they look exactly like eyebrow trimmers. I remember using them when machine embroidering and had a big nest underneath. Worked well to cut the threads to remove the piece from the sewing machine. I haven’t used them in a long time but I never thought to use them as seam rippers - great idea.
