If the mat will roll up it isn't exactly the same as the one for pressing. The heat and steam will penetrate differently because of the thickness. The pressing wool mats are too solid to roll up, they are densely felted. I wouldn't turn either down if a good price.

I have a 12" x 14" wool mat and wish I had a larger one. I've used steam on it several times with no barnyard smell though.
