    Default Cosmetic/jewelry bag

I am looking to make a cosmetic/jewelry bag for my Granddaughter who will soon be 17. I want something she can use when going to different overnight events, off to college, etc. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, would you care to share them?

    Thanks much

There are lots and lots of free patterns online. If you do a quick search, you will probably find something you like.

    Here are a few:

there are also lots of tutorials on youtube....many don't require a pattern...just measurements.

Thank you "mindless". By using parts of the different patterns, I will use parts of each. I want to use a clear vinyl so things are visible on one side. I will figure it out. Thank you so much for your help.

maybe you can find some useful tips for sewing on vinyl in these videos:

    and here:

I'm doing one right now for a much younger granddaughter that has a double vinyl side with glitter sandwiched in between, and one that looks like a snow globe on one side.
    similar to this:

and this pouch has a boxed bottom:

I just recently made an artist paintbrush roll, which is very similar to a make-up brush roll. It was pretty easy to make and I found it easy to modify the pattern to customize it. There are lots of patterns out there for both. I think that you could modify one of these patterns to hold more than just brushes. You could have zippered pockets for other, small products.

This is my favorite one... I've made 3 so far, for daughters and DILs. It's a pattern you have to purchase, but it's so worth it!
